SUSTAINABILITY
Chemical-free Consumption
Sustainability is central to how we operate at RIWIDI. We prioritize responsible sourcing, limiting consumption to what can be replenished, and reducing the ecological footprint of our operations. We aware that sustainability extends beyond environmental concerns to include social and economic responsibility. This means supporting local farmers, promoting fair labor practices, and contributing to community development wherever we operate.
Our sustainability policy for freeze-dried and lightly processed ingredients is built on three main pillars:
Responsible Sourcing. Community Engagement. Operational Efficiency.
Responsible Sourcing:
Carefully selecting raw materials to minimize environmental impact.
Community Engagement:
Supporting local employment and knowledge sharing in food production
Operational Efficiency:
Using energy- and water-conscious techniques to maintain quality while limiting waste
EVERY IDEA COUNTS. INITIATIVES ON THE TOPIC OF SUSTAINABILITY AT RIWIDI
Eco-conscious packaging
The majority of our packaging materials are fully recyclable, and all cardboard boxes incorporate a high proportion of recycled paper. We actively manage transport packaging by coordinating reuse where possible, and certain outer cartons are returned to suppliers for further use.
Plastic components such as adhesive tapes have been replaced with paper alternatives, reducing environmental impact and supporting a circular approach.
Sustainability in practice
Our dedicated sustainability team features members from multiple departments, who meets regularly to identify, develop, and implement initiatives that reduce environmental impact and promote long-term ecological goals.
These efforts include evaluating sourcing practices, minimizing chemical usage, and optimizing energy efficiency across production processes.
